Most people who come to see me are usually in some kind of distress or just want to feel better. Others feel OK about their current situation but want to improve their lives; their marriage or their family lives in some way. Whether it is you, your marriage, your child or teenager, stressors in life’s challenges sometimes need an observer to help you redefine and redirect your goals. As a young adult in your life transitions, you might need that other ear to help you make sense of the world and your place in it. Or you might be an older adult trying to develop stronger relationships with your adult children. Often our access to healing emotions is blocked by fear, shame, and guilt. You might be stuck in depression, anxiety, anger, dysfunctional relationships and other forms of emotional suffering. The focus of my practice as a clinical psychologist in Walnut Creek, is to help you navigate through those difficult life circumstances. I see life as a process of growth and development. I believe strongly in the resilience of the human spirit and our capacity to create a true sense of well being. I am passionate about what I do and look forward to helping you …
In a confidential environment designed to encourage you to feel comfortable and secure in the process of self-discovery we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and what you want to achieve through our collaboration. The information you share will enable me to guide you toward understanding your situation with greater clarity. As we progress, you will learn techniques for better problem-solving, communication, stress management and emotional wellbeing. A key element of this process is that you will be incorporating some new skills, and behaviors into your day-to-day life. As a therapist in Walnut Creek, I hope to help you move from insight and understanding to action.
